This class looks at the career path of Black CPAs in America. Questions are posed as to why in a profession that valorizes fairness representation of qualified Black CPAs remains at a 2% level. Accounting professor Dr. Lauren Rukasuwan challenges us to explore this and other questions around this topic at a deeper level.

Her curriculum includes undergraduate Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Introduction to Federal Taxation, and Accounting Information Systems. Her research interests include questions related to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the classroom as well as in professional practice.
